Song Writing for Young People
Kaleidoscope Community Music has been working with schools and youth clubs to provide song writing workshops for young people aged 9 to 16 years old. Workshops have taken place after school hours and in the summer holidays.
We have worked with young people at Noel Baker School, Allenton and The Mandela Centre, Normanton, and Murray Park School, Mickleover.
All the groups spent an afternoon recording their songs at Amp Studio, Madeley Centre, Normanton.
Community Musicians and volunteers involved in this project are:
Beth de Lange, Spice, Nick Ratcliffe, Eleanor Lee, Claire Gorman, Kate Rounding and Jerry Hope.
The project is funded by The Local Network Fund.
