Kaleidoscope Choir![]() We are a community choir in Derby for people who want to enjoy singing together in a group.
About the Choir![]() Kaleidoscope Community Choir sing a wide range of songs from the UK and around the world. The choir is open to everyone, regardless of experience, ability or confidence. There are no auditions and songs are taught by ear, so you don't have to be able to read music. We start the session with a warm up, and simple rounds, chants and unison songs. We then go on to learn more complex harmony songs, which we build on week by week. We occasionally perform, but there is no pressure to do so. Our Conductor![]() Our conductor is Beth de Lange. She has been leading the choir since 1998. She also conducts Rough Truffles Choir in Belper (Mondays at the Queens Head Pub), and has taught singing for Derby City Adult Education Service. She does various singing, music and songwriting workshops with children or adults. Recordings
