Catch Calidoscopio at a summer gig

Calidoscopio Carnival Drummers will perform for the opening of Cosmo (where Zanzibar used to be) on Saturday 1st June, and on Saturday 29th June at Duffield Carnival.We'll start around 12noon on 1st June, and around 1pm on 29th June. If you'd like to join in, we are always grateful for supporters who can help by carrying our banner, handing water out to drummers and transporting drums.

Rise and Sing - Saturday singing sessions

Join Deb Allitt and Richard Talaska on Saturday mornings for Rise and Sing, a series of uplifting singing sessions. Join your voice with others to sing Shape-Note, Gospel, Spirituals, Harmonic Temple and West Gallery songs in three or four part harmony. You don't have to come to the whole series, just drop in and enjoy singing, just for fun, with a lovely group of people.

**NEWS** KCM is now a registered charity

After much hard work from volunteers Phil Buckle and Janet Ireland, KCM is now a registered charity number 1147419. Our trustees are Julia Gilzene, Phil Buckle and Janet Ireland. We are excited about the possibilities this opens up to us here in Derby. We'd like to bring music opportunities to people who really need something positive to lift them out of the difficult circumstances they find themselves in, for example people with mental health issues, young people who are unable to find work, asylum seekers and refugees, and people who are recovering from head injury or stroke. Please get in touch if you have an idea for a music project that you'd like to see in Derby that would benefit people who find themselves in difficult circumstances.
