Derby Sings
The next Derby sings event is Northern Harmony - American A capella at its best. Book early to avoid disappointment.
A series of six Shape Note singing workshops starts on April 24th 2010. These workshops are open to everyone. No need to read music, just enjoy learning the thrilling harmonies of this style of music. It's all about community singing.

Calidoscopio - Carnival Drumming
A new carnival dance class starts in March 2010. If you take part in these classes you will be able to parade with our drummers at Derby Carnival 2010. Make sure you are on the mailing list to keep up to date.
Kaleidoscope Community Choir
This group is for people who love to sing! Come along anytime and join us on a Thursday night, 7.45pm at the VoiceBox, Derby. We sing all sorts of songs, and you don't need any previous experience of singing to join in.
We have been awarded a Choral Ambition grant. This will enable us to put on a concert, so that choir members can invite friends and family to see what they get up to on a Thursday night! The concert takes place on Saturday 19th June.
World Song Derby
This two year project enabled people from Derby's culturally diverse community to share songs with each other and the wider Derby community. Many of the songs are available on a double audio cd and in a songbook. Read all about it in the evaluation report.
